TiWanna A. Kenney (TK) was the first African American woman to earn the Benefit Auctioneer Specialist Designation through the National Auctioneer Association (2016). She is the Founder and Principal Auctioneer of Astounding Auctions and puts a focus on creating equity and support for women and people of color in the auction industry. After just 3 short years in the auction industry she wrote and implemented a state approved curriculum for Auctioneering Basics at McLennan Community College. Over 50 students have completed the course taught 3 times per year. Her life has been centered on helping others, including:

Being a fundraising auctioneer, she helps nonprofits achieve their fundraising goals by inspiring philanthropy at live fundraising events. As an active member of the National and Texas Auctioneer Association, TK, works closely with industry leaders to develop professional standards in the ever changing industry. TK is passionate about helping others live their best lives and achieve their entrepreneurial dreams by mentoring veteran entrepreneurs as they grow their business through Bunker Labs programming. Additionally, TK coaches and prepares entrepreneurs for pitch competitions.

Highly energetic, she leaves a memorable mark on those she encounters. TK’s favorite past time? Being a cheerleader to her son, Matthew, a senior at UNT.
