Sherrie is a long-time Austinite, wife to her high school sweetheart, and mother to 3-year-old Amaya. She struggled to achieve her own ideals of motherhood after returning to work and quickly realized she wasn’t alone. Sherrie is now an activist for working parents, and she’s on a mission to abolish the idea of work-life balance. By reimagining how we work, Sherrie believes we can show up for our families and succeed at work.
Sherrie has worked in tech for over a decade and is currently employed as a Product Marketer at Indeed. She is also the Founder and Americas Co-Lead of the Parents & Caregivers inclusion resource group at Indeed. Sherrie mentors with Young Women’s Alliance and Breakthrough of Central Texas. She is a founding member of the Bazaarvoice Foundation and formerly led the Room to Read Austin Chapter, where she advocates for girls’ education. Her happy place is riding a wave or her yoga mat. In her downtime, you can find her devouring a book or sharing deep belly laughs with her family.
