Rebekkah Schear

Rebekkah is pioneering strategic development of clinical cancer care at the LIVESTRONG Cancer Institutes at Dell Medical School. Under Dr. Gail Eckhardt’s leadership, her team launched a new model of cancer care in 2018 – CaLM- a comprehensive clinic with wraparound practical, emotional, and social support for patients and loved ones. As Associate Director of Patient Experience, she launched two patient advisory boards to ensure that all services are co-designed by and with patients; and under her leadership, Austin launched a new cancer coalition in 2017. Over the last 11 years, Rebekkah has designed and implemented more than 20 community, national and global cancer programs to improve quality of life for survivors and to educate providers. She holds a BA in mass communications from UCLA and a Master’s in global health and development from Columbia University. She is a certified yoga instructor and is excited to teach a new yoga class specifically for cancer patients in 2020.
