A serial entrepreneur, business and community leader, Nathan Ryan is the co-founder and CEO of Blue Sky Partners, which helps companies put healthy, sustainable systems in place so they can scale. His key passion is making sure organizations are responsible to people’s needs, removing the gaps that keep people from reaching their full potential. That passion drives his work at Blue Sky Partners as well as his service with local nonprofits and city commissions.
As co-founder of GoodPolitics, Ryan works to connect disengaged voters to the political process. Since its founding in 2018, GoodPolitics has helped more than 1,000 previously disconnected Austinites meet candidates, get involved in local politics, and register to vote.
Ryan also serves on the board of directors at both the LBJ Presidential Library’s Future Forum and the Austin Monitor. As an appointed commissioner for the City of Austin, Ryan advises on infrastructure and job creation, helping the Economic Prosperity Commission ensure every Austinite has a fair shot. He also serves on the Ethics Review Commission (D-2) to uphold Austin’s ethical standards in elections and at City Hall.
During the Covid-19 crisis , Ryan joined the Task Force to Reopen Central Texas, where he contributed to economic and public health policy recommendations for the City of Austin, Travis County, and the State of Texas. When it’s not a pandemic, you’re sure to find Ryan dropping by every event he can possibly attend, dining in local restaurants, and enjoying Austin’s beautiful green spaces with his wife, Amanda, and their dogs, Rory and Max.
