Emily Rudenick LeBlanc is Chief Program Officer at CASA of Travis County and a community advocate who has dedicated her career to working with and advocating for survivors of abuse. Having worked individually with survivors for nearly two decades, Emily has shifted her focus to working with systems to increase the effectiveness of the local response to sexual assault, domestic violence and child abuse, to advocate for survivors’ rights, to promote actions which assist survivors and hold and offenders accountable, to advocate for the best interests of survivors, and to support the development of community-based collaborations. Emily led the creation of Eloise House, the region’s first community-based clinic for survivors of sexual assault. Recently voted Best Activist in Austin by Austin Chronicle readers, Emily believes it is her duty and purpose to amplify the voices of survivors, empower the next generation of advocates, and reform systems to make Austin safe for everyone.
