About The Host

The Young Men’s Business League of Austin (YMBL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing Austin’s next generation of civic, business, and community leaders. Founded in 1913, YMBL brings together engaged professionals committed to service, leadership development, and strengthening the Austin community.
Since 1928, YMBL’s primary philanthropic focus has been Austin Sunshine Camps. The Sunshine Camps serve more than 500 kids from low-income families each summer, with additional year-round impact through Camper Ambassador and Counselor-in-Training programs that foster leadership, confidence, and long-term opportunity.
YMBL’s signature fundraiser in support of the Sunshine Camps is the Austin Under 40 Awards (AU40). Launched in 1998, AU40 recognizes emerging leaders and the mentors who guide them. Each year, individuals under the age of 40 are honored across 18 categories for both professional excellence and community impact, culminating in a black-tie gala attended by more than 500 community leaders.
For YMBL, AU40 is more than an annual event. It is a reflection of the broader mission to celebrate leadership, invest in community, and help shape the future of Austin.
