Hear from some of our past winners about what Austin Under 40 means to them:
At the first AU40 (in 1998) we had monkeys, snakes and exotic birds. No joke. The theme was “It’s a Jungle Out There.” It’s fun watching the tradition grow, and each year seeing friends and collegues honored. I love being a part of it.
– Kerri Qunell, 2006, Community Service Category Winner
The Austin Under 40 Award is among the most meaningful to me because of the company I share in my fellow nominees. I feel fortunate to be part of a community where such tremendous talent and strength drive us to help make Austin a better place to live.
– Dr. Daniel Leeman, 2006, Medical and Healthcare Category Winner
The Austin Under 40 awards gala is a rare opportunity for the best and brightest from a diverse group of professions and causes to gather and recieve recognition for well known names and unsung heroes. Being a past winner has allowed me to join a great fraternity of individuals that go out of their way to help each other and the Austin community.
